Good questions.

Can tourists drive it? +
Yes. Visitors need a valid licence plus an International Driving Permit (or an accepted official translation, e.g. for some countries via JAF). An ordinary AT licence is all that's required.
How many people can sleep and ride? +
The van sleeps 5 (4 adults + 1 child) and has 6 seats with belts. A child seat is included, just let us know.
Is it hard to drive? +
It's larger than a regular car (about 5.0 m long, 2.9 m tall) but very manageable, with a back-up camera and a comfy driving position. Reviewers found it easy even on long, scenic mountain roads. If you're unsure, tell us and we'll talk it through at handover.
Where can we sleep overnight? +
At RV parks, campgrounds and designated car-stay spots (and many michi-no-eki roadside stations). We're happy to suggest good overnight stops along your route.
Can it handle winter and snow? +
Yes. It comes with studless winter tyres in season, a home A/C and an FF heater, so it's a cosy base for ski trips. It has handled heavy snow on real winter journeys.
Are pets allowed? +
Sorry, no pets. This is out of consideration for allergies and cleanliness for all guests. Thank you for understanding.
Is there really a kitchen, toilet and shower? +
Yes. There's a gas stove, sink, fridge and microwave in the kitchen, plus an onboard toilet and shower. There's free Wi-Fi too, so you stay connected on the move.
How far ahead should we book? +
Requests are accepted up to 2 days before pick-up, but popular dates (holidays, autumn leaves, ski season) fill fast, so message us early.
Where do we pick up, and is there delivery? +
Pick-up and return are at our base in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto. We don't offer delivery; self-pickup keeps your rate lower. See the Pick-up page for the map.
